Bring a valid government-issued photo ID. We verify your identity, witness your signature, and apply the official notary seal.

Your document is notarized and ready to use. We accept cash, Venmo, or Cash App for your convenience.

What to Bring

To complete a notarization, you'll need the following:

Valid government-issued photo ID — driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID
Your unsigned document — do not sign it beforehand; signing must happen in the notary's presence
Any required witnesses — if your document requires witnesses, please arrange them in advance
Payment — cash, Venmo, or Cash App accepted

Hi, I'm Chris Peden — a commissioned Iowa Notary Public and lifelong Iowan based in West Des Moines.

I work full-time in construction and infrastructure — an industry where contracts, liens, and legal documents are a routine part of the job. That background gave me my commission and a practical understanding of how much a notarization can matter. I started Central Iowa Notary to put that credential to work for my neighbors and community across central Iowa.
